Thüga, Schott, Storengy, and Verbund: New Partners Bolster the H2ercules Initiative

The H2ercules Initiative warmly welcomes four prestigious new partners on board: Thüga, Schott, Storengy, and Verbund. These additions promise to further strengthen the initiative with their respective industry knowledge and experience.

Schott is a globally recognized manufacturer of high-tech materials, especially in the field of specialty glass. With nearly 140 years of experience and a turnover of 2.8 billion euros in 2022, the company aims to become climate-neutral by 2030.

The Munich-based Thüga Aktiengesellschaft (Thüga) is an investment and consulting company with municipal roots. Together with its partners, Thüga forms the largest municipal association of local and regional energy and water supply companies in Germany – the Thüga Group.

Storengy Germany, part of the ENGIE Group, is among the leading gas storage companies in Germany. Focusing on climate-neutral energy production and storage, Storengy develops innovative solutions for hydrogen storage and the production of renewable gases.

Verbund is not only Austria’s leading energy company but also one of the largest hydroelectric power producers in Europe. As a pace-setter in the industry, Verbund is committed to a sustainable energy future.
